I started this page because the other life stack sites I’ve seen have introduced me to new tools I have been able to put to good use. Some of the links will be affiliates. macOS
MacBook Pro 13″ mid-2009 (macOS) – A friend gave it in exchange for tech support on his computer. This used laptop was laden with software problems, a bad battery, trackpad, fan, and low memory. I’ve fixed all those except for the faulty audio jack that only works with external headphones and Bluetooth. I tried every trick to fix it. Most recently I replaced the HD with an SSD. That helped a ton. A few seconds to boot from cold rather than minutes. And most recently, August 2018, set up an iMac 2011 for video and photography editing.
