I was digging through my archives and found this hidden gem. At first, I wanted to toss it out because it was too plain. Plain as in I’ve seen this arrangement of colors too many times before. I opened this very large TIFF file and found that there was more color hidden within the edges of the clouds. It was a single bracket shot in RAW on a Sony a6000. The horizon is curved up on the ends because it was taken on a wide lens. The sky was more of the focus for this composition than the surrounding buildings. That’s why the bottom remains dark as it was shot, much like a silhouette.
